And I still don’t have anything to add…yet
It’s been awhile…again…
I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted here, but so many things are going on right now that finding the time to actually post something here worthwhile is difficult. As it is, I’m only posting here to let you know that I haven’t forgotten about this site, I’m still around, and I do intend to start posting here again with useful information just as soon as I can.
Till then…

Upgraded to 2.7
I just upgraded all my WordPress sites to 2.7 today. I’ve been using it on my local server for several weeks and I’m really pleased with it. They did an excellent job on the admin section with this version. Big Thumbs Up to Matt and the entire WordPress Team!

It’s been awhile…
It’s been awhile since I posted here, mostly because I’ve been busy with real life, building sites, and creating themes, even though I haven’t released any in quite some time. I will be getting back into the groove soon now that the “slow” time of the year is upon me.
Hopefully, I’ll get some more themes and stuff released. I’ve also got a couple of widget related plugins that I’ve written that I’m considering releasing, but haven’t made a decision yet since they really serve no real purpose, except visually.

WP 2.5 and Automatic Plugin Upgrades
I’ve upgraded numerous plugins recently and not had an issue. However, this morning I was attempting to upgrade cforms and a few of Lester Chan’s plugins and they failed.
Unfortunately I also discovered that when the automatic plugin upgrade fails, it removes the plugin completely from the list of available plugins….and also deletes the directory. Now this obviously wouldn’t have been an issue if the plugin upgrade hadn’t failed, but since it did, it means that now I’ve got to manually download the plugin, and then ftp it to my server.
If this is going to be a major issue with automatic plugin upgrades, then I may just stop using the automatic upgrade feature altogether. Could it be that the plugins themselves are not setup properly for automatic upgrade?
Blog It 750 Dark WordPress Theme
Someone requested a dark version of the Blog It 750 theme, so since I had a few minutes this afternoon, I went ahead and did it.
Here’s a screenshot:

Everything is the same as the Blog It 750 theme, except the color. Enjoy!

Blog It 750 Theme Released
I’ve been testing this theme for some time and I feel that it is now ready for release. It’s a two column minimalistic theme with the sidebar on the right. The sidebar is the perfect width to place two 125×125 ads side-by-side.

The class for aligning pictures is “left” or “right” depending on what you want. If you’re looking to place it in the center like above, then wrap the image tag in a
<div align="center"> </div>
or add a center class to style.css. It’s up to you how you want to handle that.
As for typography, here’s a sample:
This is the H1 tag
This is the H2 tag
This is the H3 tag
This is the H4 tag
This is the H5 tag
And Finally H6 tag
The margins and padding are set to 0 (zero) for each of these, so if you use them make sure that you also include a line break (< br />) after you use them to allow for proper spacing.

Of course, if you like black instead of white, we have that too:

Or perhaps you like black and red instead:

These are, of course, released under the GPL. I would appreciate it if you kept the link in the footer though. Have fun with them!
